2026 Amendment to the Cyprus Companies Law, Cap. 113

CITY OF LAW PROVIDES THE ONLINE AND PRINT VERSION OF THE CYPRUS COMPANIES LAW IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

The Cyprus Companies Law, Cap. 113, was amended on the 6/2/2026 introducing a number of significant changes:

  • It adopted the Financial Reporting Standard (FRS) for small-sized entities – once this is effective, financial statements will need to be prepared in accordance with the newly established Financial Reporting Standard for Small-sized Entities
  • It introduced the New Sixteenth Schedule: Additional Principles, Form, Content of Annual Financial Statements for small-sized companies
  • It introduced the New Seventeenth Schedule: Form and content of Consolidated Financial Statements for small-sized companies
  • It is further harmonised with Directive 2013/34/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2013 on the annual financial statements, consolidated financial statements and related reports of certain types of undertakings
